Di Perry started designing, sewing and hand painting fashion garments over thirty years ago. Renowned for her clever use of timeless designs in instinctive fabrics, Di's garments are a balance of elegance, homey styling and contemporary artwork. Di opened her beginning outlet Di Perry Design in Port Douglas in the early 90's. Some twenty years on, five diverse locations later and a name change to tusk, has seen her maintain a triumphant presence in the area where she intends to remain. Her win has been improved with the encourage from her new shop manager Abigail, freeing Di to concentrate more on the design aspects of the business. Di's daughter Kate, a graphic designer, has followed in her mother's footsteps and has her own children's label Red Chalk. Kate will remain to labor with tusk and contribute both artwork and fabric designs.
