The white house port douglas is a delightful example of 'old queenslander' architecture, serendipitously situated on an avenue of magnificent melaleuca trees, opposite a bird-filled park which runs directly onto the patrolled part of famous four mile beach. It nestles amid lush tropical gardens enhanced by myriads of colourful butterflies and birds, only steps across the park from four mile beach and yet just around the corner from the main shopping and restaurant precinct. This unique small complex is perfect for those who want clean, one and two bedroom apartments and three bedroom penthouses, airy apartments, self-catering accommodation very close to the beach and town centre.the white house has only nine large, comfortable, each with its own full kitchen and laundry facilities and breezy balconies looking over the park and onto the beach. Short stroll to the main street, restaurants, shops and the Marina Mirage. Packed kitchen including dishwasher and microwave, own private laundry. This is a unique, small, luxury intricate with only 9 large, airy apartments giving clean, comfortable, self catering accommodation, including full kitchen and laundry facilities. The apartments each have their own individual decor, with cozy furniture and breezy balconies looking across the bird filled park to the sound swimming area of famous Four Mile Beach, only steps away. Fair one brief block away from Apartments at The White House is the main street of Port Douglas with its boutique shops, art galleries, pleasing restaurants and sidewalk cafes. There is so much to experience with all the adventures and activities that Port Douglas and the surrounding region offers make sure you stay long enough to have time to enjoy it all! We booked it from London not knowing exactly where it was located nor what to expect. We had a three bedroom penthouse for three nights for ourselves (my wife and I) and our daughter and boyfriend. We were so glad with the locations close the beach and town and found the flat very comfortable, neat and ideal for our needs. Our original plan (for my wife and I) was to move from the flat to the Sheraton Resort for four nights when our daughter and partner returned to Sydney but we took one look at the Sheraton and decided that the White House was so much better. So we canceled the Sheraton and stayed in the identical flat again for the rest of our stay. She is friendly, helpful, easy and pleasant to deal with and is onside to help. All in all a vast experience and if we arrive back all the way from the UK again (which we might do) then we would certainly stay again. We chose the accommodation as it was only a scanty minutes walk to the beach, yet still close to the main strip. All tours can be booked free of charge through The White House and all tour operators will pick up at The White House reception. Within this region you can dive or snorkel the Immense Barrier Reef, game fish, relax in tropical paradise, explore primitive, lush rain forests, receive a cruise on the Daintree river spotting crocodiles and other wildlife, sample tropical fruits and new local seafood, shop at the marvelous Marina Mirage or receive a dip in the sparkling waters of spectacular Four Mile Beach. There is so much to experience with all the adventures and activities that Port Douglas and the surrounding region offers that there honest never seems to be adequate time. Stuffed kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, important fridge etc. On the below smooth is the lounge dining area opening onto a important balcony, the fully equipped kitchen, a queen size bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds, and one bathroom. Upstairs is a king size bedroom, the second bathroom and laundry, a small second sitting room and one or two more balconies. All living areas have a tropical feel with tiled floors, fans and air conditioning. The lounge rooms have large glass doors opening onto the spacious balconies which overlook Jalunbu Park and Four Mile Beach. The stuffed size kitchens have everything necessary to whip up a gourmet feast and an automatic dishwasher to tidy up, as well as a important fridge to deposit the leftovers!
